Bridget's Story


The first moment I was born in 1986 my inclusion life journey began. When the doctors told my parents that I had Down Syndrome, they were shocked just like most new parents of children with disabilities. My dad always told me that he was so glad that he had a chance to hold me for a very long time right after I was born, before he knew I had Down Syndrome, because he loved me just for me, and that did not change at all when he heard that I had Down Syndrome.
